The Cloud G iSize is the newest baby car seat from Cybex. It is an i-Size approved rear facing infant car seat. It can be installed with seatbelt, or it can be installed with the Cybex Base G isofix base. It offers an ergonomic lie-flat position and all-round air ventilation keep your baby comfortable, and a 180° rotation and one-click release system making it easier to get your baby in and out the car. It forms part of the Cybex Gold G-line; with the Cloud G infant seat and Sirona G toddler seat both fitting onto the Base G isofix base.

WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT LIMITS OF THE CYBEX CLOUD G?
The Cloud G is a Group 0+ infant car seat, approved from birth/40cm to 13kg/87cm.
This makes it a suitable option for newborn babies, as well as premature babies, and usually lasts until approximately 18-24 months.
WHAT ARE THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE CYBEX CLOUD G?
The side-impact protection system is designed to reduce the impact of a side collision by approximately 15%. The integrated side impact protection ensures maximum safety without compromising convenience, as you do not need to remember to extend the side impact protection.
The newborn inlay is well padded and supportive, to ensure a safe fit for newborns as small as 40 cm. It positions them snuggly in the car seat, and and can easily be taken out when they reach 61cm and need more space.
The Cybex Cloud G was awarded a safety rating by ADAC of 1.7 for safety when installed with Base G, which is "good". It provides very low risk of injury in a frontal collision, and low risk of injury in a side impact collision.
When installed with seatbelt, ADAC awarded it a safety rating of 1.5, which is "very good". It provides very low risk of injury in a frontal collision and low risk of injury in a side impact collision.
WHAT ARE THE COMFORT FEATURES OF THE CYBEX CLOUD G?
The Cloud G i-Size car seat offers an ergonomic lie-flat position, ensuring your baby is comfortable and supports a safer position to keep their airway open whether in the car or on the pram. It can be reclined when installed with seatbelt or when installed on Base G. It is easily adjustable with a simple hand movement.
Getting your baby in and out of the car is easier with the Cloud G i-Size car seat, due to its one-click release system and 180° rotation feature allow you to effortlessly rotate the seat towards the door. Engineered to alleviate strain on parents' backs, this convenient design even enables you to manage it single-handedly.
It has an all-round air ventilation system with precisely placed ventilation holes. This design allows air to circulate effectively and escape the seat, keeping your baby cooler.

HOW IS THE CLOUD G INSTALLED?
The Cloud G can be installed without a base, using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt. The Cloud G cannot swivel BUT it can be reclined when installed with seatbelt.
Cybex Cloud G is only compatible with Base G isofix base. When used with the Base G, the Cloud G can swivel 90 degrees towards either door, making it easier to get your baby in and out of the car. The base has visual indicators, making it almost foolproof to install.
It is quick and easy to install with the base, once the isofix base is installed and left in the car. Simply click the Cloud G on and off the base every time you need to take your baby in or out of the car.
IS THE CLOUD G COMPATIBLE WITH MY CAR?
A rear facing car seat must never be installed in front of an active airbag. The Cloud G is compatible with cars equipped with full 3-point seatbelts. It cannot be installed with a lapbelt. In order to use the Base G isofix base, your car must have isofix brackets and no underfloor storage compartments.
WHICH PRAMS/ STROLLERS IS THE CLOUD G COMPATIBLE WITH?
In combination with CYBEX strollers, the Cloud T i-Size transforms into a practical travel system for the first months, so your sleeping baby can rest with optimal protection with the backrest reclined on the pram. The Cloud G is also compatible with Thule, BabyZen, Stokke, GB, Bugaboo, Quinny, Stokke, Silvercross, Qtus and Uppababy.

HOW TO REMOVE AND WASH THE COVERS?
The Cloud G’s cover can easily be removed, and then washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle.
WHAT IS THE LIFESPAN OF THE CLOUD G?
Cybex recommends that the Cloud G not be used for longer than 8 years provided it has not been in a crash. Due to ageing and weather extremes, the quality of the material may change as the seat ages.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY OF CLOUD G?
The warranty is 3 years on the seat excluding textiles. The Cybex importer in South Africa carries the tools and can import spare parts if needed, to carry out any repairs.
OUR VERDICT
The Cybex Cloud G is a more affordable baby car seat that offers fantastic features such as a lie-flat recline, 180 degree rotate, air ventilation and a modular isofix base. It scores well for safety and fits newborn as well as premature babies well. It is easy to install, and lighter than our other rotating car seats.
