WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT LIMITS OF THE pebble pro?

The Pebble Pro is Group 0+ approved infant car seat, approved from birth/45cm to 12kg/75cm. This makes it a suitable option for premature and newborn babies, and usually lasts until approximately 12 months.

WHAT ARE THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE pebble pro?

The Pebble Pro has an air pocket at the headrest for side protection. In the event of a side impact, Maxi-Cosi Pebble Pro’s SPS (Side Protection System) absorbs the force to protect the baby from injury.

The Pebble Pro also contains improved impact-absorbing material, which complies with the latest European i-Size safety standard for car seats. This improved material absorbs even more force from an impact, to provide your baby with extra protection.

maxi cosi pebble pro adac safety rating

When installed without the isofix base, ADAC scored it 1.5 for safety, with very low risk of injury in a frontal crash and low risk of injury in a side impact.

When installed with the isofix base, ADAC gave it a score of 1.7 with low risk of injury in a frontal or side impact collision.

WHAT ARE THE COMFORT FEATURES OF THE pebble pro?

The extra-padded seat includes a removable infant inlay that cocoons your newborn baby, giving optimal postural support and a near-lying position. The inlay is firm on the baby’s side, to protect the internal organs, but soft around the baby’s head for side impact protection. The Pebble Pro rarely causes babies’ heads to fall forward, even on steep vehicle seats,  because of the good recline position it offers

The headrest is height adjustable, and raises the harness simultaneously. It therefore does not require any rethreading of the harness.

It has an easy-in harness, which springs the harness open making it easier to strap your baby in. The harness is released simultaneously when the buckle is unclipped, and the harness is locked into position when the buckle is attached. This makes it easier on your fingers and nails when strapping your baby in, as well as making it faster to do so.

HOW IS THE pebble pro INSTALLED?

The Pebble Pro can be installed without a base, using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt.

Alternatively, it can be installed with the FamilyFix3 (previously called 3wayFix) isofix base. The base has audiovisual indicators, making it almost foolproof to install. It offers a click and go installation, once the isofix base is installed and left in the car. Simply click the Pebble Pro on and off the base every time you need to take your baby in or out the car.

Maxi Cosi offers a unique service. If your child car seat has been in an accident, its safety may be compromised even if there is no visible damage.  Maxi Cosi will replace the crashed seat with a brand new one. They then send the crashed seat back to the manufacturer to get valuable information about how their car seats perform in collisions. Terms and conditions apply.

is the pebble pro compatible with my car?

A rear facing car seat must never be installed in front of an active airbag.

The Pebble Pro is compatible with cars equipped with full 3-point seatbelts. It cannot be installed with a lapbelt. In order to use the FamilyFix3 base, your car must have isofix and no underfloor storage compartments.

What is the difference between Pebble Pro vs Pebble Plus vs Rock?

The Pebble Pro is the updated version of the Pebble Plus. They have the same shell and the only real difference is that the Pebble Pro’s head support of the infant inlay has been improved to be more supportive.

The Rock, like the Pebble Plus and Pebble Pro, also has the air pocket at the head area and the infant inlay. The Rock is slightly cheaper as it does not have the easy-in harness but has a regular harness that requires you to stick your finger into the tab to release the harness. The Rock’s headrest and harness are also not height adjustable, so is likely to be outgrown by height quicker than the Pebble pro.
