MAXI COSI OPAL HD for babies with HIP DYSPLASIA

Standard car seats do not provide the flexibility, comfort and safety that a baby with hip dysplasia needs – but the Opal HD does. The seat was especially designed with support of paediatricians and gives extra back support and space for the legs that's so vital for children with hip dysplasia. The Opal HD adjusts from sitting to sleeping for your baby’s comfort. This long-lasting car seat is first used as a rearward facing seat until approx. 15/18 months. Then Opal HD easily turns to face forward, simply by using a switching device.

The Maxi Cosi Opal HD isn’t for sale. Instead, our Hip Safety Service will rent you the car seat while your child is receiving treatment. 

Costs:
  • R1000 refundable deposit
  • R100 rental fee per week 
  • R200 Return courier fees
Upon return of the Opal in good working order, you will receive the deposit back.

PRECIOUS CARGO RENTALS

Our priority is your child’s safety. They are cleaned and inspected after each use, and will be serviced regularly. The installation video and manual can be found at the bottom of this page, so that you know how to install the seat. We are available telephonically should you have any difficulty using it. Our reliable courier will deliver the seat to your address, with packaging materials and the manual. When you are finished using the car seat, you repackage the seat and our couriers will collect it.

Once you are ready to book, please email us on julie@preciouscargo.co.za so that we can email you the following:

  • Rental invoice including the refundable deposit and shipping fees (
  • Contract

We require the following in order to confirm your booking:

  1. Proof of payment
  2. Completed contract
  3. Copy of your ID
  4. Proof of address
  5. Delivery address
